AC/DC: the story of a legendary rock band
The beginnings: hard rock band AC/DC was founded in 1973 in Sydney, Australia, by Scottish brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. The inspiration for the band's name came from seeing the letters acdc on their sister's sewing machine. The name perfectly reflected their musical vision of uncompromising, energetic rock. Together, they recorded Back in Black in 1980—the third best-selling album of all time—as a tribute to Bon Scott. Over the decades, AC/DC has continued to release albums and fill stadiums on world tours.
