And so Subsonic set its sights on the field of music, a passion deeply rooted within its team, fervent fans of restless rock and heavy metal. Driven by a desire to innovate and surprise, they embarked on a series of bold projects aimed at fusing the worlds of gaming, music and pop culture.
In a market where giants such as Secret Lab and Noblechairs reign supreme, Subsonic has developed its project around three founding elements that will form the DNA of its new high-end gaming chair brand: Gaming, Music and Pop Culture. Three pillars symbolized by a trident, the iconic element adorning the brand's logo.
As for the brand name, it embodies the very essence of the inspiration that drives Subsonic. Drawing on the rich and varied universe of the heroes of our imagination, whether from literature, comics or music, Subsonic is inspired by iconic figures such as Batman, Superman, Harry Potter and Goku, as well as rock legends like Angus Young of AC/DC, Steve Harris of Iron Maiden and Lemmy. These characters have one thing in common: they're all iconic! Iconic was born.
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE APOLLON COLLECTION
After more than a year and a half of hard work, the Iconic gaming chair was finally born. Our credo during this quest was "The devil is in the detail." Nothing was left to chance in the design of this exceptional gamer chair. Every choice of material has been meticulously thought through to combine strength, aesthetics and tactile comfort. The design, with its harmonious shapes, aims to provide visual pleasure while guaranteeing optimum comfort.
Our embroidery craftsmen have carried out numerous trials to create the unique embroideries that adorn our gaming chairs. Our collection consists of two main models: the "Classic" model, proudly displaying the Iconic brand, and a "Collector" model for enthusiasts who wish to own exclusive seats.
At the same time, our company has begun the process of obtaining music licenses. Metallica, Iron Maiden and other iconic bands have been approached to join the Iconic adventure. Iron Maiden, the legendary heavy metal band, was the first to embark on this adventure, as gaming was already rooted in its DNA with the "Legacy of the Beast" video game, featuring Eddie's adventures.
All that remained was to name the seat model. The inspiration came from Greek mythology: Apollo, the god of the arts, song, music, masculine beauty, poetry and light, was the obvious choice! Our gaming chair collection is now available in two versions: Apollon Classic and Apollon Collector. Subsonic, true to its passion for heavy metal, has also incorporated nods to this universe by naming certain models Black Metal or Silver Ghost, in reference to the Swedish band Ghost.
